Does Viagra Super Active have any side effects?

Viagra Super Active is the fastest to absorb and longest to stay active version of Viagra. This pill, which is the newest version of Viagra, represents the fourth generation of phosphodiesterase inhibitors which work by restraining a chemical in the man's body called PDE5, responsible for reducing the flow of blood in a human's body, and hence, allowing erection to occur with sexual stimulation. Viagra Super Active should be taken no more than once daily and stays effective for up to 9 hours. Active ingredient: Sildenafil.

Side effects associated with Viagra Super Active tend to be mild; however as with any other medication they are not suitable for everyone and should not be taken without precaution. Patients taking Viagra Super Active should be aware that reactions vary from person to person and side effects cannot be anticipated.

Common mild side effects include:

  • blurred or color tinged vision and/or sensitivity to light.
  • acid indigestion.
  • diarrhea.
  • headaches.
  • nasal congestion.
  • urinary tract infections.

You should not take Viagra Super Active if:

  • You use any recreational drugs containing amyl or butyl nitrate, like "poppers".
  • You suffer from any active heart disease or have had a stroke in the previous 6 months.

You should take precautions and tell your doctor or pharmacist if:

  • You have any history of STD's, penile injury, or abnormality (e.g., angulations, fibrosis, and priapism - an erection lasting longer than 4 hours).
  • You have any blood cell disorders (e.g., sickle cell, anemia, leukemia).
  • You are taking any alpha-blocker (blood pressure) medications.
