Staxyn Warnings
Staxyn can cause potentially serious problems, such as low blood pressure, permanent vision loss, and heart attacks. Other safety precautions with Staxyn include warnings of possible drug interactions and side effects. To help reduce the risk of complications, make sure your healthcare provider is aware of any other medical conditions you may have and any other medications you are taking before starting Staxyn.
You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking Staxyn™ (orally disintegrating vardenafil) if you have:

Heart problems, including chest pain (angina), heart failure, or irregular heartbeats
Had a heart attack, stroke, or serious arrhythmia in the past six months
Ever had a seizure
A history or have family members with a history of a heart problem known as QT interval prolongation, or long QT syndrome
Kidney disease, such as kidney failure (renal failure)
Liver disease, such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, or liver failure
High blood pressure (hypertension) that is not well controlled
Low blood pressure (hypotension)
An eye problem called retinitis pigmentosa
A history of vision problems, such as loss of eyesight or an eye problem called non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION)
Stomach ulcers
A bleeding problem
Any problem with the shape of your penis or Peyronie's disease
Blood cell problems, such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia
A history of a painful or prolonged erection that lasted for more than four hours (priapism)
A history of hearing problems, including ringing in the ears, dizziness, or hearing loss
Phenylketonuria
Fructose intolerance
Any allergies, including to foods, dyes, or preservatives.
